How to Apply and Get PAN Card Online in India

The Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a ten-digit alphanumeric number, issued in the form of a laminated card, by an Assessing Officer of the Income Tax Department.

It is mandatory to quote PAN on return of income, all correspondence with any income tax authority and challans for any payments due to Income Tax Department.
It is also compulsory to quote PAN in all documents pertaining to economic or financial transactions notified from time-to-time by the Central Board of Direct Taxes.

Getting the new PAN card

Application for PAN should be made in prescribed form (Form 49A) and submitted in any of the I-T PAN Service Centres set up and managed by UTIISL across the country.

Fees For Processing PAN Application

The fee for processing PAN application is Rs.94.00 (Rs.85.00 + 10.3% service tax).If communication Address is within India.

If communication Address is outside India Theb fee for processing PAN application is Rs.944.00[ (Application fee Rs.85.00 + Dispatch Charges Rs. 771.00) + 10.3% service tax].
